MoCU was officially established on September 4th, 2014, evolving from the Moshi University College of Co-operative and Business Studies (MUCCoBS). The institution’s roots go back to January 5th, 1963, when it began as the Co-operative College Moshi, aimed at training personnel for the co-operative sector under the Ministry of Co-operatives and Community Development. In 2004, the college was upgraded to MUCCoBS as part of Sokoine University of Agriculture.
