The Public Service Recruitment Secretariat (PSRS) is a government organ with the status of an independent department established specifically to facilitate the recruitment process of employees to the Public Service. The organ was established by the Public Service Act No. 8 of 2002, as amended by Act No. 18 of 2007, section 29(1).
Vision and Mission
- Vision: To be a Centre of Excellence in Public Service in the region.
- Mission: To undertake the recruitment of public servants using modern approaches by adhering to principles of equity, transparency, and merit while providing advice to employers on employment-related matters.
Human resources are a critical factor in public service delivery, and thus, PSRS has been tasked with recruiting public servants in a fair, transparent, and timely manner. This ensures quality and access for all applicants to deliver equitable service in Tanzania. Our aim is to improve government public service recruitment processes according to our rules and regulations while enhancing good relations with our stakeholders.
