Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Network Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in network design, implementation, and troubleshooting, with a focus on Cisco technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain network solutions to meet business needs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Collaborate with IT teams to optimize network performance and security.
- Monitor network performance and conduct regular assessments.
- Document network configurations and maintain up-to-date network diagrams.
- Provide support for network-related projects and initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in network engineering or related roles.
- Certifications: Valid Cisco CCNA or CCNP certification is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of routing and switching protocols (e.g., OSPF, EIGRP, BGP).
- Experience with network security practices and technologies.
- Proficiency in network monitoring tools and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.

Job Summary:
To generate and develop new business opportunities and increase net income for the Hotel in line with the Hotel Strategic and Business Plans.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work closely with line managers to develop growth strategies and plans for different services and products.
- Ensure customer inquiries are converted into confirmed sales; develop future and repeat business strategies to boost sales and revenue.
- Follow leads and scan media adverts, prepare proposals, and bid for new clients.
- Improve and deliver brand standards of outstanding customer service while ensuring clear and effective communication within the sales team and operational teams (Rooms Division and F&B Departments).
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities using the company database, networking, B2B opportunities, exhibitions, and client entertainment.
- Work closely with F&B and Rooms Division Departments to develop and implement sales marketing campaigns and client entertainment.
- Carry out market research and conduct industry benchmarks to determine success factors, growth opportunities, and prepare projections for management’s decision-making.
- Establish and maintain positive links with potential partners and stakeholders, targeting referrals and soliciting business for the Hotel.
- Develop, update, and maintain an annual calendar of events, liaising with the respective line managers to plan, schedule, and implement sales campaigns and entertainment events.
- Manage the performance and development of the Revenue and Business Development team.
- Work with management to prepare and review the Hotel business plan and other operational tasks.
Requirements:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, or Finance from an accredited university.
- Master’s degree or a postgraduate diploma in Tourism & Hotel Management or a postgraduate qualification in Marketing (e.g., CIMA) is an added advantage.
- At least 4 years of progressive relevant experience in a busy environment, 2 of which should have been in the hospitality industry.
- Proven track record of success in a sales and marketing role.
- Must be able to expertly train, motivate, and manage a team.
- Strong strategic planning and implementation skills.
- Knowledge of e-commerce and social media marketing; understanding of hotel products and services.
- Ability to take initiative and work in a highly demanding environment.
- Solid understanding of hotel management systems, pricing, and positioning strategies.
- Excellent knowledge of Front Office and Reservations Systems.
